Canpack Factory, Scunthorpe

The contract was a refurbishment of the old MFI factory in Scunthorpe consisting of two, two storey office blocks and a new factory facility for the manufacturing of aluminium cans for the food and drinks trade. The electrical contract works carried out consisted of the full design, installation, testing, commissioning and setting out of a full installation.

Work Completed

• The alteration and additions to the clients private H.V. network
• Installation of new additional transformers providing an 8MVA three phase electrical supply within the building
• The installation of the new factories containment and distribution systems
• The installation and commissioning of 2 No 1200A main panel boards
• LV distribution boards and cabling
• Internal and external lighting systems to the factory and office blocks
• The installation of a full earthing system to the factory and office blocks
• Emergency lighting systems to the factory and office blocks
• Electrical services to the mechanical plant installation
• The installation of small power and data systems to the factory and office blocks
• Access control, Fire alarms and CCTV systems
• The full provision of As installed drawings and O & M Manuals.
